New York City holds a special place in Taylor Swift's heart - it's where she's written some of her most iconic songs, filmed music videos, and even purchased apartments. As a longtime Swiftie and NYC resident, I've put together the ultimate guide to Taylor's New York for fans visiting in 2025.
From the Cornelia Street apartment that inspired a Lover track to the restaurants mentioned in her lyrics, these five spots offer the perfect Taylor-themed tour of Manhattan. Whether you're visiting for the Eras Tour or just want to walk in Taylor's footsteps, these locations are must-sees for any Swiftie.
Walking through a crowd, the village is aglow"
Kaleidoscope of loud heartbeats under coats
Everybody here wanted something more
— "Welcome to New York," 1989
Here are the top 5 NYC locations every Taylor Swift fan should visit in 2025:
The West Village apartment that inspired the emotional Lover track "Cornelia Street."
This was Taylor's home during her time with Joe Alwyn, memorialized in the song about fearing to walk Cornelia Street again if the relationship ended.
Take photos outside the building, walk the street while listening to the song, visit nearby cafes Taylor frequented.
Cornelia St, New York, NY 10014
Best visited weekdays to avoid crowds
Washington Square Park, The Marlton Hotel (where Taylor lived temporarily), Magnolia Bakery
The luxurious hotel where Taylor has stayed frequently and filmed parts of the "Delicate" music video.
Featured prominently in the "Delicate" music video where Taylor dances invisibly through the hotel.
Have drinks at the moody lobby bar (where Taylor has been spotted), recreate "Delicate" dance moves in the elevator.
335 Bowery, New York, NY 10003
Dress nicely if visiting the lobby bar
New Museum, CBGB Gallery, Whole Foods (where Taylor grocery shopped in the video)
The iconic Upper East Side hotel where Taylor has stayed and which inspired "The Lucky One."
Reportedly inspired lyrics about fame in "The Lucky One" from Red.
Enjoy afternoon tea at Bemelmans Bar (where Taylor has been photographed), admire the Madeline-inspired decor.
35 E 76th St, New York, NY 10021
Reservations recommended for Bemelmans Bar
Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, The Frick Collection
The exclusive private park referenced in "Christmas Tree Farm" and near one of Taylor's former apartments.
Mentioned in "Christmas Tree Farm" ("Are you waiting for me at the Gramercy?"). Taylor also owned an apartment nearby.
Admire the park from outside (it's locked to non-residents), visit during Christmas to see decorations, walk the beautiful surrounding streets.
Gramercy Park, New York, NY 10010
Visit the nearby Pete's Tavern (NY's oldest bar)
Flatiron Building, Union Square, Strand Bookstore
Taylor's former $20 million Tribeca penthouse where she hosted famous Fourth of July parties.
This home base inspired many New York references in her music and was featured in her "Blank Space" music video.
View the building exterior (please respect privacy), explore Tribeca's charming streets, visit nearby Locanda Verde (Taylor's favorite restaurant).
155 Franklin St, New York, NY 10013
Please admire from the street only
Washington Market Park, Hudson River Park, One World Observatory

Headphones to listen to Taylor's music at each location, comfortable walking shoes
Please respect private residences and don't block sidewalks
The Cornelia Street Cafe (mentioned in the song) has closed, but nearby Cafe Cluny was a Taylor favorite
New York City is woven deeply into Taylor Swift's music and personal history. Visiting these locations allows fans to connect with the inspiration behind some of her most personal songs and see the city through her eyes.
For the ultimate Swiftie experience, I recommend starting your day at Cornelia Street (with "Cornelia Street" playing), then heading to The Bowery Hotel for a cocktail. After lunch in Tribeca near Taylor's old loft, finish with afternoon tea at The Carlyle as the sun sets over the Upper East Side.
"When you're young, you just run, but you come back to what you need...
This love is alive back from the dead" — "This Love," 1989
Remember that while these locations are meaningful to Taylor's story, they're also real places where people live and work. Be respectful when visiting, especially residential areas, and consider supporting local businesses Taylor has frequented. Happy Swiftie exploring!
